Ballpark Tavern To Remain Closed Until Next Court Hearing
The Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement and other authorities announced that the bar, at Bristol Pike, will remain closed until a full court hearing can be held. State officials cited prostitution, overdoses, public drunkenness and other issues as their reasons. The decision to close the bar, which has spurred complaints in the area for years, was made as a result of discussions between the bureau, Pennsylvania State Police, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bristol Township Police and the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
A court hearing in the case of the Levittown club that had been scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed until July 17, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office. The club was shut down via a court order on Friday. Located at Bristol Pike, the club represents a "common nuisance," according to the court order, signed by Judge Robert J. State officials cited prostitution, overdoses, public drunkenness and other issues as their reasons.
